The Trantina Farm Grand Opening and First Annual Homer Harvest Days will be held on September 13 & 14, 2008. This combined event will celebrate the unique rural character and agricultural heritage of Homer Township and Homer Glen with old-fashioned entertainment and games, children's activities, farm demonstrations, animals, antique tractors, hay rides, food, vendors, live music, and other amusements and diversions from a simpler and more rural era. One of the highlights of the event will be an unveiling of the recently reconstructed 1850's Austin-Welter Barn at the Trantina Farm.
Volunteers and exhibitors are currently being sought for this event.
